| Sea salt soaks can help speed up
the healing process. Use a pinch of non-iodized sea salt with a cup of
warm to hot water cup the solution under your piercing and let soak for
3-5 minutes once a day. For piercings that can not be soaked with a cup,
you may use a Q-tip with the solution and clean it as you would with soap.
Rinse of your piercing afterwards.
DO NOT put excessive pressure on the your piercing
with tight clothing or by sleeping on it. This will cause your piercing
to migrate and possibly reject from your skin.
DO NOT submerge your piercing in water until it’s fully healed.
This includes, pools, Jacuzzis and even bathtubs.
Oral Piercing Aftercare.
Rinse your mouth out with an alcohol-free antimicrobial mouthwash such
as Tech 2000 after meals and smoking. If you do smoke, quitting or at
least cutting down will speed up the healing process.
As soon as possible, start keeping ice in your mouth as much as possible
until your swelling goes down (this is an ABSOLUTE MUST for tongue piercing)
Sea salt rinses can help speed up the healing process. Use a pinch of

out. Only use mildly warm water the first week.
DO NOT engage in any sexual activity with your fresh piercing until it
is fully healed (even open mouthed kissing.)
If you just got your tongue pierced, avoid foods that are hot or spicy
for a few days.
Things to remember:
If the jewelry is threaded, (straight, curved or circular barbell, labret
stud, etc.)
Tighten your jewelry after cleaning with clean hands to prevent loss of
your jewelry and even piercing.
If you have a captive bead , there is nothing to tighten.
Be very gentle with your piercing while it’s healing Do not play
with or touch your piercing without washing your hands at any time.
Also, do not over-clean your piercing, it will lead to irritation and
possible swelling.
A lot of times certain piercing are pierced with longer jewelry then you
need when they are healed. This is to compensate for any swelling that
may occur. As well as make it easier to clean your piercing.
Once your piercing is completed you may change your jewelry to something
shorter if you prefer.. DO not change your jewelry before your healed,
this may result in irritation, swelling prolonging of the healing process.
Healing times are approximate, you may heal before the estimated time
or go over it, not everyone body heal the same, so don’t worry if
you are not healed after the approximate time.
In rare occasions, some people have allergic reactions to their aftercare
products. If your cleaning your piercing and it burns and or becomes really
red and swollen around your piercing after every time you clean, discontinue
use and call us for alternative products.
